Although I’m not a fan of Netflix always changing up their membership pricing or adding and taking away shows or movies too soon, I’m all about snuggling up and browsing the newest titles. It’s been great for unwinding at the end of a long day, downloading films for Grey when we travel, and discovering something new I wouldn’t have otherwise found. I also love that over the years Netflix has so many original shows, documentaries, comedy specials, and feature films.
I know I keep our cue full with a mix of my favorites as well as shows or movies I look forward to finishing or even beginning. I became more curious about what my husband loved to watch so I asked him,
What are your top picks to watch on Netflix?
I noticed he tends to watch the same shows he’s always had, but I was surprised to see what other shows or movies piqued his interest. Here’s our favorites from these last few months!
It’s Debatable is a fun opportunity for our significant others to chime in on the conversation and offer up their opinions. Each month I’ll select a different topic to offer up and this month it’s all about our favorite #NetflixandChill shows or movies. Feel free to share your post in the comments – I’m curious to see which titles are trending amongst us!
As you can see he enjoys travel and food shows/movies the most- especially anything Anthony Bourdain. Outside of that, Californication has been a longstanding favorite show of his – I’ve caught a few episodes here and there and I just can’t get into it. However, we both really enjoyed Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s new movie, Murder Mystery. It was entertaining and had a funny plot.
- Street Food
- Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown
- The Blacklist
- Murder Mystery (I also really enjoyed this movie)
What he’s looking forward to watching:
- Tidying Up with Marie Kondo
- Mindhunter, season 2 (me, too!)
Looking at the shows I’ve enjoyed these last couple of months definitely say a lot about me, haha! I love watching a good mix – from action, true-crime documentaries, to old favorites like The Office.
I finally got around to watching Triple Frontier, which was a great action movie. I really got caught up in the emotional bond the characters shared – definitely a must-watch if you like suspense. The husband and I both enjoy David Letterman’s new show. We’ve found his guests to be interesting and I always learn a little something new about them. However, I don’t think I’ll ever understand (or like) Kanye West – but still a worthwhile watch! Another favorite of mine has been the newest Queer Eye! I’m completely obsessed with the Fab Five and have found their show to be so socially relevant! All the happy tears!
- Always Be My Maybe
- The Office
- When They See Us
- My Next Guest Needs No Introduction
- The Chef Show
- Queer Eye
- Aziz Ansari and other stand up comedies
- Triple Frontier
- Jailbirds (mainly by influence of my girlfriends who got me hooked on Love After Lockup!)
What I’m most looking forward to watching:
- Dead to Me
- finally finishing season 1 of Stranger Things
I enjoyed talking with my husband about what he’s loving on Netflix right now and sharing them with you all. But, I have to know…
